Bunded Shelving and Cylindrical Stores

The Cashels Bunded Shelf Units are designed to help companies comply with current EU regulations by containing accidental spillage of dangerous goods at point of display e.g. insecticides, pesticides, veterinary products, paints, solvents and oils etc.

Each shelf unit has a bund (reservoir) for collecting liquid spilled on the shelving trays.  The capacity of the bund can be either 110% or 25% of the total liquid stored on the shelf unit i.e. insecticides and pesticides, diesel fuel or petroleum based products must all have 110% capacity.  Paint solvent, oils etc. will have capacity of 25% bunding.  Two types available are LINEAR and CYLINDRICAL stores.

Bunded Shelf Stores Common Features:

  • All steel construction for maximum strength;

  • Enamel paint finish over zinc primer - colour as required;

  • Drain off from bund for decanting a spillage;

  • Raised base to allow forklift or pallet truck access.

Linear Store Unique Features:

  • It is sized to integrate and compliment existing shelf units;

  • Removable grid to assist with cleaning of the bund;

  • Concealed drainage system through the frame work for the spilt liquid;

  • A leakage on one shelf will not contaminate stock on the other shelf as each is drained individually.

Cylindrical Storage

Cashels Cylindrical Stores are unique in that they satisfy EU regulations in regard to the storage of dangerous goods as well as having the advantage of being totally secure. 

The unique cylindrical shape has many benefits e.g. rotating shelves allow a large variety of different products to be displayed and easily accessed, its curved sliding door is concealed inside so it does not protrude when opened.  The pleasing appearance blends with any other surrounding storage features.

Cylindrical Store Unique Features:

  • The door is locked using a high security MUL-T-LOCK® hasp and padlock - the padlock being concealed from attack and having a high security key system;

  • There are no hinges to be attached;

  • Any spilled liquid is drained through the centre axle into the bund;

  • The shelf system rotates on a heavy duty ball bearing system;

  • The door glides on ball bearing runners and is securely mounted;

  • The circular shelves are very efficient at storing a large variety of vessels with each being easily accessible.
