Storage Equipment

Cashels have a range of bunded containers to assist in protection of the environment. The range consists of Bunded Pallets, Bunded Lock-Ups, Bunded Barrel Stores and Bunded Diesel Tanks.

The Environmental Protection Agency Regulations stipulate that storage of liquids must be protected by having a bund or sealed tank into which the liquids will flow if the liquids container leaks.

The bund size is dictated by the quantity of the liquid stored.  The bund size shall be 110% of the largest container stored or 25% of the total liquid stored - whichever is the greatest. The exception to this rule is in the storage of insecticides and pesticides when the bund must be 110% of the total liquids stored.

Standard Features All Units:

• The Bund tray is covered by a grid which is removable and made from galvanised walkway mesh;

• A two coat paint finish is standard or optional galvanised finish for Bunded Pallets;

• A sump drain with a tap is fitted so the bund can be safely drained if it contains a spillage.

Bunded Pallets for storage inside of oils, paints etc are available in the following sizes:

Bunded Lock-Ups

Cashels Bunded Lock-Up can be to corporate colours if required. The units can also be fitted with shelves when small containers are being stored.

Sizes of units available are small, medium and large. They can come with either 110% or 25% Bunds, dependent on the liquids that will be stored.

The doors feature high security locking. A handle operates a two point lock. When closed the handle can be secured by fitting the MUL-T-LOCK to the welded-on MUL-T-LOCK hasp. This hasp encloses the padlock to protect it from attack. The heavy duty hinge system also feature locking tabs, which keep the door locked even if the hinges are cut.
