Aviation
Fuel Bunded Bowsers
An easy-tow unit available with 250 gallon (1100 L) and
400 gallon capacity (1760 L). They are suitable for
aviation fuels AVCAT, AVTUR, AVGAS and are designed to
help companies comply with current and pending EU
Environmental Regulations by eliminating accidental
spillage. Outer tank bund has in excess of 110%
capacity of the inner.
The tank
unit and chassis combination is manufactured to comply
with the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulation and the
ADR requirements.
Standard Features:
-
Fully baffled, pressure tested inner
fuel tank is made from 2.5mm thick stainless steel;
-
Tank bund is leak tested and has 110%
capacity of fuel tank;
-
Filler point for pressure filling 2"BSP
Pipe extends to the bottom of the tank to minimise vapour;
-
A tank inspection hatch featuring a fire engulfment ability to prevent
development of in tank fires. It also contains a PPV valve which
allows air flow to and from the tank but will prevent the tank
spilling if it is overturned;
-
A high gloss enamel paint finish over
primer is applied electrostatically to the outer tank;
-
Bunded tank is mounted on a hot-dip
galvanised chassis. It is cushioned on a 6 mm thick rubber,
anti-vibration strip to prevent stress on the tank;
-
Robust hot-dip galvanised mudguards are
an integral part of the tank;
-
Fuel level indicator;
-
Fire extinguisher;
-
Lighting system is comprehensive to EU
regulations with rear lights contained in a bumper;
-
Electrical Cabling is conduit protected
and glanded to the lights and junction boxes;
-
Running gear consists of two galvanised
super-ride suspension axles for smooth towing loaded or unloaded;
-
Braked hubs all round with 50mm auto
reverse hitch coupling, hand brake and jockey wheel;
-
High performance and high load rated
tyres 165xR13x8PLY;
-
Canopy overlaps tank body when closed
preventing water contamination;
-
Front cabinet to separately contain hose
and nozzle;
-
Tank and cabinet lid are lockable by a
high security hasp;
